Smiling faces and warm memories lingered over Jasper’s fourth annual Legacy Day. J Club’s outdoor space was filled with activity, as neighbors celebrated the strength of community.
Forging bonds
Families, old friends and new connections mingled over cold drinks and treats. From kids with painted faces to couples swaying to music, spirits were high. With over 400 attendees, the event showcased Jasper’s enthusiasm for connection.
Gems and generosity
Before the festivities wound down, Jasper Executive Director Megan Hader introduced the Trailblazer partner, Humboldt Education Foundation. Anne Orel, a Jasper resident and HEF representative, spoke about the organization’s mission.
A special Jasper Gem, Steve Wilson, was also recognized for his action in the community. Learn more about Steve and Bocce Club in an upcoming Jasper Gem blog.

Rootin' for winners
Residents gathered with anticipation to hear the three winners of tickets to the World’s Oldest Rodeo. Hoots and hollers made the lucky winners easy to identify.
Food festivities
From tacos to snow cones, a variety of food trucks offered delicacies. Attendees also enjoyed complimentary light bites from Superb, including delightful chocolate-covered strawberries.
Rockin' to Rusty Bullets
All ages gathered by Wilkinson Courtyard to enjoy the band’s mix of classic and modern tunes. Cheers were heard and feet were tapping.
Cherishing mothers
Jasper team members handed out flowers for Mother’s Day. It was a joy to see the smiling faces, and we’re thankful for all the mothers who are part of our community.
Honest feedback
In a post-event survey, we asked attendees to share their thoughts on Legacy Day. Thirty-nine attendees responded to the survey. These three event elements received top marks: socializing with neighbors, live music and food from Superb.
Your Community Life team values your feedback and suggestions for improvement. Here are some things we’ll reflect on ahead of next year: options for food, shade for musicians and music variety.
Memorable moments
Here are just a few moments from neighbors on what they thought were the best moments from Legacy Day.
“The music, the food and spending time outside with neighbors on a beautiful night.“
“Meeting a new resident couple from my home state who came to the event in spite of the fact they were waiting for their movers to come that day!“
“My kids loved the balloon guy and face painting.”
See you next time
Thank you to all attended another special Legacy Day at Jasper. This event was brought to life by the gathering of community, along with the hard work of the Community Life team. We look forward to celebrating with you again next year.
