At Jasper’s fourth annual Legacy Day, a new Jasper Gem was recognized for his enthusiasm in the community. Steve Wilson (known around Jasper as Steveo) has brought renewed life to Jasper’s bocce courts. The Community Life team has witnessed his work and thoughtfulness in promoting interest in bocce.
As a Jasper resident, Steve saw an opportunity to encourage connection through activity. He initiated the Bocce Club, gathering sign-ups at April’s Bocce Bonanza and keeping the ball rolling.
Outside of bocce, Steve takes part in a variety of Jasper clubs, including poker, bunco, marbles and bingo. He also joins in trivia nights and bi-monthly golf.
Steve enjoys the camaraderie and opportunities to stay active which he’s gained at Jasper. Through his actions, he encourages neighbors to embrace the same.
Steve and his wife moved to Jasper due to its many resources and activities available, and they appreciate that they can choose their level of engagement. Steve says they are extremely grateful to be a part of Jasper’s community.
