If there’s one thing that defines Jamie Davis, it’s her passion for giving back to the community — one stitch at a time. Known for her incredible quilting and sewing skills, Jamie uses her talents to bring warmth and comfort to those in need.
Most recently, Jamie worked with Prescott High School’s National Honor Society to organize a no-sew blanket making event. As the communications representative for the Thumb Butte Quilters Guild, she helped coordinate the effort, guiding students as they created nearly 30 blankets for local nonprofits supporting homeless seniors, families, and children. Jamie rallied her fellow guild members to support the initiative, bringing enthusiasm and expertise to the event.
Jamie’s contributions extend far beyond her sewing projects. As a member of Jasper Leadership Class 1, she channeled her personal passion for connecting neighbors to resources into her group’s project, Neighbors Helping Neighbors. This initiative focused on bridging the gap between community members and local support services, fostering a connected and compassionate community.
Through the Thumb Butte Quilters Guild, Jamie creates and distributes lap quilts to hospitals and convalescent homes each month using fabric donated by generous community members. And, during the COVID pandemic, she sewed 265 masks for the Cathedral City police and firefighters.
Beyond her charitable work, Jamie has a knack for fostering connections in Jasper. She goes out her way to welcome neighbors and make them feel included, embodying the spirit of community.
