A temporary solution to a budget challenge
Jasper Eco Dev LLC (JED) is committed to the sustainability of the J Club. To preserve the beauty, aesthetics, and overall functionality of the club, opportunity exists to offer outside memberships to support the ongoing operational costs and ensure there is enough money in reserves to maintain the facility. The decision was made by the developer-owner of J Club earlier this year to open memberships up to non-Jasper residents. Jasper residents were made aware of this decision during the April 10 community update and the May 31 Coffee & Conversation.
Why open memberships to non-Jasper residents?
The J Club was built to serve 1,500 occupied dwelling units, or homes. Currently, there are only 300 occupied units paying into the club, giving room for more members. The J Club was never intended to be a profit center and that intention still exists.
By opening membership options to non-Jasper residents, the goal is to minimize the financial burden on current resident members. Sharing costs with a wider audience will help ensure that members can continue to enjoy the club’s amenities and services without significant increases in membership fees.

Temporary and targeted solution
The decision to open memberships to non-Jasper residents is not a permanent solution. As Jasper continues to add more homes, we will eventually hit the capacity of 1,500 units and no longer need to offer these memberships.
What to expect
Non-resident memberships and day passes are now available to purchase. These memberships are offered at a higher cost and only for a maximum of 6 months. Non-resident memberships and day pass holders have the same access to club amenities but will not be included in resident-only events or will be charged an extra fee to participate.
As a Jasper resident and J Club member, you receive discounts on group fitness classes and are eligible to sign up for Superb’s rewards program. You can also purchase day passes for your guests to enjoy the club without you having to accompany them.
