Yavapai Humane Trappers, a nonprofit dedicated to saving vulnerable animals, is a new Jasper Community Service Trailblazer. Guided by compassion, its work gives four-legged friends a second chance.
YHT became an official 501(c)(3) in 2019, but the mission began long before that. Powered by the motto “It takes a village,” YHT is an all-volunteer organization. The team uses its combined experience to rescue animals and match them with forever homes.
YHT reaches animals most in need by remaining available around the clock when other rescues are not. Team members travel to assist animals at a moment’s notice, aiming to help as many as possible.
Serving all of Yavapai County, YHT strives to help in areas where resources are scarce, including Navajo, Hopi and Apache reservations. Through real action, YHT shows commitment to the belief that no dog (or cat) is left behind.
