Lillian Mo is a shining example of selflessness and compassion. At just 12 years old, her vibrant spirit and dedication to making a difference are nothing short of inspiring.
For Christmas of 2023, Lillian wanted to give back to her community. She came up with an idea to combine her love of wrapping gifts with her love of animals. Lillian and her sister, Mikayla, offered gift-wrapping to the Jasper community for free. In exchange for the service, donations were collected for the Yavapai Humane Society (YHS), an organization close to her family’s heart.
Two year’s earlier, the Mo family welcomed Reggie, a pitbull mix who was rescued from YHS. Reggie and Lillian quickly formed a bond. You’ll see them often running along the paths before school.
Lillian’s fundraising idea was a hit with Jasper residents. In just two days, she collected $234 to donate to YHS for food, blankets, toys, and other needs for the animals they care for.
She plans to offer her gift-wrapping services again for the holiday season. Watch your inbox in December for dates and times.
If you’d like to donate to YHS before the holidays, visit their website.
